1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Rigel ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users, including recruiters, candidates, and guests.
2. Description of Service
Rigel is a skills-first recruiting platform that provides:
-
Structured job posting with weighted requirements
-
Automated CV parsing into structured candidate profiles
-
Algorithmic match scoring between candidates and jobs
-
Explainable scoring dashboards showing how scores are calculated
What Rigel Is Not
-
Rigel does not guarantee employment or job placement.
-
Rigel does not act as an employer, staffing agency, or employment advisor.
-
Rigel does not verify the accuracy of candidate-submitted information.
-
Rigel does not make hiring decisions — recruiters make all final decisions.
3. Accounts and Registration
Recruiter Accounts
To post jobs and view match results, you must create an account through our Wix-based authentication system. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Candidate Accounts
To build a full profile and apply to multiple jobs, you must create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your profile.
Guest Access
You may use our quick-apply feature to submit a CV and receive a single-job match score without creating an account. Only an email address and CV upload are required.
Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Platform. We will provide notice where practicable before taking such action.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@rigel.ai. Upon deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Data Accuracy and AI Processing
Automated CV Parsing
Rigel uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to extract and structure information from uploaded CVs. While we apply validation rules to improve accuracy, automated parsing may produce errors.
You are responsible for reviewing and confirming your parsed profile before it is used for matching. Rigel is not liable for inaccuracies in parsed profiles that you have confirmed.
Match Scores
Match scores are calculated algorithmically based on recruiter-defined criteria and your confirmed profile. Scores are advisory and intended to assist — not replace — human decision-making. Rigel does not guarantee that a high score will result in an interview or offer, nor that a low score reflects your true qualifications.
5. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Rigel, including your CV and any information you provide. By uploading content, you grant Rigel a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform's services.
Parsed Profiles
Structured profiles generated from your CV are derived works based on your content. You own your profile data and may request an export at any time. Rigel retains the right to use anonymized, aggregated data derived from profiles to improve the Platform.
Rigel's Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its scoring algorithms, matching logic, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Rigel. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform.
Recruiter Data
Recruiters retain ownership of job descriptions and hiring criteria they create. Rigel may use anonymized job data to improve matching quality. Recruiters may not export or redistribute candidate profiles or match scores for purposes other than their own hiring activities.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
-
Upload malicious files, malware, or harmful content
-
Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform
-
Attempt to reverse-engineer Rigel's proprietary algorithms beyond the information provided through our explainability features
-
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
-
Create fake profiles or submit fraudulent information
-
Use the Platform to discriminate against candidates on the basis of protected characteristics
-
Violate any applicable employment, privacy, or data protection laws
-
Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
-
Use automated tools to submit applications or create accounts in bulk
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
-
Rigel's total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the aggregate fees you paid to Rigel in the 12 months preceding the claim.
-
Rigel is not liable for: hiring or employment decisions made by recruiters; lost job opportunities; inaccuracies in parsed profiles that you confirmed; indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; or damages arising from third-party actions.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Service Availability
